It’s no secret that relationships can be tricky, but some things are straight-up dealbreakers. Sure, there are plenty of fish in the sea, but you don’t want to be the one throwing back a perfectly good catch because of some pesky, avoidable issues.
This age-old question came up in a recent Reddit thread when u/thenamestilly asked, “Boys be honest, what makes a girl instantly unattractive?” The question saw over 24,000 responses, these were the top voted responses.
Neowynd101262 gave the most up voted contributed, they said, “Entitlement.” AhFourFeckSakeLads agreed and said that when entitlement is seen in a woman, you should, “Run like hell.”

5. Too Sensitive

Life_is_a_meme_204 gave a popular response. They suggested, “If you can’t handle me at my worst you don’t deserve me at my best.” Another Redditor thought they, “…even can handle me at my worst.”
23. Cruel to People and Animals
Another popular response, one that saw several thousand upvotes, was to say that if she treats animals badly, it was a red flag. The Redditor added that treating animals went together with treating service or retail staff badly.
This saw another reply confirming that you could judge a person by how they treat those who can do nothing for them.
Cml33 suggested that manipulative behavior or playing games was a red flag for them.
Later, they edited their contribution saying, “Dunno why this needs said, but not all women do this. If you think they do, either you have some personal issues with women you should work through or you’re spending time with the wrong people.”
25. Attention Seeker
Another Redditor said that a red flag for them was if a woman makes negative comments about themselves to get people to say positive things about them. They thought that it was just a way of getting attention.
26. Conversational Narcissist
User, Redletterday94 clarified that their contribution could apply to both sexes. They said that when the person focuses primarily on themselves during a conversation.
They added, “Was talking to a girl a few months ago, and it eventually just kinda hit me just how much she talked about herself or would steer conversations towards herself and her problems.”

PeepShowIsGreatMayn felt that a red flag for them was the person, “Being a heavy social media poster/‘influencer’ – not interested frankly in becoming an unpaid photographer nor am I interested in what you had for breakfast.”

Redditor, R_z_n said that having no hobbies or interests was something that puts them off from continuing in a relationship.
Laitnetsixecrisis agreed. They said, “I’m a woman, and realised last night I have no hobbies any more. I used to love reading and cooking, but now they seem like such a chore.”
32. Habitual Flirt
One contributor said that for them, “Flirting with every guy” was a red flag. They thought that if the woman was trying to make him jealous would just make him walk away.

KenzoAtreides thought that artificial looks such as lip fillers that made the lips look swollen like, “They just ate something allergic” put them off continuing in a relationship.
