In a recent Country Mornings with Ayla Brown episode, Lori shared a weird experience that she encountered and asked listeners for thoughts. Here’s what happened.
A Great Day
Lori and her date had a great day. At the end of the day, he took her out to a fancy restaurant. Lori says that it was a really lovely location.
They ordered drinks and talked freely.
Ranch Dressing Was Not Available
It was time to choose an appetizer. After some time, they decided to order salads. Then the waiter asked them what kind of dressing they would like, and her date answered that he’d have the ranch dressing.
The server responded that they actually make all of their dressings in-house, and currently, the ranch was not available. There was a fancier champagne vinaigrette available though.
He decided not to have any dressing because he loves ranch dressing so much.
He Excused Himself From the Table…
So, their salads were placed on the table, and they continued their conversation.
And things took a turn when he apologized and said that he’d return quickly. Lori thought maybe he must be going to the restroom.
He Left
But he took a turn and left for his car. Lori assumed that maybe he was getting something like a jacket.
But to her surprise, he drove off.
She Was Shocked
Lori was shocked as he didn’t say where he was going but waited as he said that he’d return. She thought maybe he had an emergency to tend to.
Lori waited, and finally, after around 25 minutes, he returned.
He Came Back
He entered the parking lot and came back with something in his hand. Lori was trying to see what it was but couldn’t see through the bag.
An Unexpected Surprise
He came back to the table and sat down. Then he took out a bottle of Kraft Ranch dressing.
Lori was shocked and thought, “Oh, okay, this is weird.” But she thought, okay, he must really like ranch dressing and decided to let it go.
He Kept Pouring It on Everything
Then they received their main course. Lori was making an effort to refrain from mentioning the dressing.
But the issue got out of hand when he started grabbing the ranch and pouring it onto everything. He poured it on his steak and his mashed potatoes. The only thing he didn’t put the ranch on was his drink.
Lori was taken aback but refrained from talking about it.
A Relationship Red Flag
Ayla posted a poll on Twitter asking whether this was a relationship red flag.
More than 80 percent of listeners voted that it was a red flag, and one Twitter user commented, “So Fact Is: When he said “I’ll be right back “ and you see him leave the parking lot.”
“Yeah, it’s time for Uber or Lyft. My thoughts were what if he doesn’t come back? Lawd I’m going to have to use 3/cards to cover this bill.”
