Breaking rules that your parents set out for you is never acceptable. Parents put rules into place for the health and safety of their children.
Rules Are Made for a Reason
A recent video on TikTok (@just_edits_009) reveals how mad a mother gets after her daughter thinks getting a tattoo without asking is okay.
She Gets a Tattoo
The video begins by showing her daughter getting the tattoo with a friend. Her friend gives her the tattoo, and although the girl says it is taking forever, it is soon done. Then they reveal a butterfly tattoo.
She Loves Her New Tattoo
She is impressed with the tattoo and says to her friend, “It looks so good.” The funny thing is, the tattoo isn’t real, but it looks it.
She goes to the mirror to check out her new tattoo and enjoys the fact that it suits her.
She Wishes the Tattoo Was Real
Even though it is a fake tattoo and she likes the way it looks, she tells her friend that she wishes it was real.
She continues to admire it and takes in its look while lying down and relaxing on her bed.
Her Mother Discovers It
Her mother knocks on the bedroom door to let her know she is heading to work and that her sister is sick. She asks her to look in on her and see if she needs attention while at home.
The Conversation Is Casual
Her mother continues to chat with her to let her know her sister might have a sinus infection. The conversation is completely relaxed and calm until her mother sees the tattoo on her arm.
She Notices the Tattoo
She notices the tattoo when she looks down at her arm. Instead of considering that it might be a fake tattoo, she instantly accuses her daughter and says, “What’s on your wrist?”
To her surprise, her friend proudly holds up the tattoo and tells her mother she just got it.
Her Mother Is Angry
Her mother gets angry and upset, which is obvious from the look on her face. She reaches forward to grab her arm to get a closer look.
She looks shocked, and she starts to laugh and admits, “Don’t worry, it’s not real, Mom.”
She Asks, but Her Mother Still Says No
They laugh and smile together as her mother calms down. While they are on the subject, she asks her mother if she can get a real one as she knows someone that is a tattoo artist.
Her mother tells her she knows the rules and cannot get one until she is 18. She asks again, but her mother still says no.
No Rules Broken
Her mother admits the tattoo looks cute and will look nice when she is of age. But she is happy that the tattoo isn’t real and no rules have been broken.
What would you do if your child got a tattoo and broke the rules? Would you allow them to get one when they are old enough
