A Babysitting Problem

She Hires a Regular Nanny
Nikki shared that she just had a baby, and they have a regular babysitter.
Her Nanny Wasn’t Available
But this particular time, her nanny wasn’t available. So they asked her husband’s sister to babysit.
She Had an Idea
Nikki mentioned that her SIL was always hanging out at their place.
She Asked Her to Watch Her Baby
Although her sister-in-law has never watched their child, she does babysit as a side job for other people.
Hanging With Them
Nikki assumed since she was always hanging out at their place, she would probably not charge them.
But She Charged an Absurd Amount
However, things took a turn when her sister-in-law said, “I’ll charge $250 for the night.” And that this was with the family discount.
She Had No Choice
Nikki was taken aback, but as it was late and no other babysitters were available, she reluctantly agreed.
Payback Time
Nikki attends the same college as OP and she wanted to borrow some expensive books from her. Nikki decided it was time for a little payback.
Book Rental
She told her sister-in-law that she would charge her $300 (the cost of the books) if she wanted to borrow those books for the fall semester.

Her SIL was shocked and told her that she was being unreasonable.

Nikki was wondering whether she was wrong for what she did, and she asked the listeners for their thoughts.
