The incident occurred when her mother criticized Grace’s sister for banning political discussions around her child.
She Defended Her Sister
Being from a conservative background, her mother believed that sheltering the child would hinder her ability to navigate the real world.
In response, Grace defended her sister’s decision, asserting that it was not her mother’s place to interfere.
Her Mother Was Being Homophobic
The conversation quickly escalated when her mother remarked that Grace would never understand because she would never be a “real” parent due to her being gay and the possibility of adopting children.

Grace took to Reddit to ask whether she was in the wrong in the situation and several Redditors sided with her saying that she was not wrong.
